Dorchester Heritage Center entering next development stages with new funding

Last year, the project secured $1.5 million in funding approved by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster. This initial funding was allocated for an early site development package, which included clearing the property in preparation for the construction phase.

The nonprofit organization is now seeking an additional $1.4 million from state and county budgets to advance the development.
