We regret to share that our federal grant supporting the permanent Native American history and culture exhibit at the Dorchester Heritage Center has been unexpectedly terminated.
While we are deeply disappointed by this decision, our commitment to honoring and uplifting the stories of our Native people remains unwavering as is our commitment to building a world-class museum to tell the story of the inland Lowcountry.
We hope the community will continue to support and find meaning in the exhibit, which stands as a powerful tribute to the rich heritage, resilience, and contributions of Indigenous communities in South Carolina.
