Governor McMaster on Supporting the Heritage Center

The Governor of South Carolina explains why he’s supporting historic preservation in our state.

The Dorchester Heritage Center is set to receive $1.5 million in funding for the creation of a cutting-edge facility and green area in Ridgeville. This allocation of funds follows approval from Governor Henry McMaster and was made possible through the support of the South Carolina General Assembly.

Leaders involved in the project have hailed the allocation of funding as a momentous step forward in the preservation and presentation of Dorchester County’s diverse cultural heritage.
