At the Dorchester Heritage Center, we like to say that our mission is to preserve and promote the history of the inland Lowcountry by weaving the stories of our people, land, and culture into the fabric of daily life and growth. On March 14 at our future site on Highway 78, just outside of Ridgeville, we celebrated history on wheels during our Rosie the Riveter Car Show. Our annual showcase of classic and vintage cars was a display of timeless design, craftsmanship, innovation, and a plethora of polished chrome! Featuring hayrides, food trucks, live entertainment, “The Market”, and 44 car entries competing for the coveted top spots, the Saturday show was a can’t miss event for the entire family.

A special thank you goes out to the Edisto Natchez-Kusso tribe! The Ridgeville based tribe engaged with the community to demonstrate special Native American traditions through drumming, dance, and storytelling.

And, we are so grateful for the Vintage Vixens, who brought non-stop fun with live music and theater, entertaining us with upbeat tunes from the 1920s through the 1990s.

Now, to announce our 2026 winners! Congratulations to:
