Turn up the heat, fine tune your secret recipes, and join us to show off your culinary skills! We’re challenging our community to prepare and share their best chili dishes, along with a themed 10’x10’ station for our Chili Cookoff on March 1 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Earn your bragging rights while we celebrate National Chili Day as part of the Center’s Food We Celebrate programming.
Participants should plan to provide their own table, tent, and trash can; DHC will supply 4-oz tasting cups and spoons. The deadline to register as a cook is February 6. Click here to register: https://givebutter.com/9yNOCn
If slicing, dicing, and simmering isn’t your forte, reserve an event ticket to sample the best chili in the region. From the classic spicy beef and bean variety topped with a mountain of cheddar to a creamy pumpkin blend with earthy undertones, an array of flavors will be yours for the tasting. Tickets are free with registration before February 20. After February 20, tickets are $15 per person. Click here for tickets: https://givebutter.com/9yNOCn
Adding to the fun, St. George Rotary will be on site with drinks, hot dogs, and desserts available for purchase—making this a flavorful, family-friendly afternoon celebrating food, community, and local heritage.
We can’t think of a better way to celebrate National Chili Day!
